McCombe Thompson is an art and design practice founded by artists Stephen McCombe and Sarah Thompson in 2018. With workshops in London and New York, McCombe Thompson creates limited edition hand-made furniture, objects and artworks, while also assuming commissions for residential and commercial projects.
The work incorporates the minimalist commitment to simple forms, and places emphasis on process, natural materials, and craft; it is informed by the post-minimalist and landscape-related practices of the late 1960s and 1970s. Projects are developed through the iterative production of 1:1 mockups, drawings, notations, and material studies.
